St Patrick's Day The St Patrick's Day long weekend is almost here and soon our capital city will be flooded with people enjoying the festivities. Parades. Services will be diverted due to local parades taking place around the country. The following Routes will be affected by local parades. Route 2 Wexford/Dublin 17 March. Dublin: Irish Rail will operate a Sunday service on St. Patrick's Day and the following Monday, with some additional services and cancellations.
